Our range of Ultrasound services

Our professional and compassionate sonographers offer high-quality ultrasound scans—no referral required. With expertise in both men’s and women’s health, as well as musculoskeletal imaging, they provide thorough and respectful assessments tailored to your needs.

Wellwomen £140.00
An ultrasound scan of the pelvis is designed to examine the reproductive organs, including the uterus and ovaries. Preparation involves drinking 1 to 1.5 pints of water about one hour before the scan and avoiding fizzy drinks, tea, and coffee. The scan consists of two parts: a transabdominal scan, which is performed on the surface of the abdomen, and a transvaginal scan, which is an internal examination. While the transvaginal scan is essential for detailed imaging, it is not compulsory and can be omitted if necessary.

Kidney, Ureters and bladder (KUB) £140.00
An ultrasound scan of the kidneys, ureters, and bladder assesses the urinary system for conditions such as stones, cysts, or other abnormalities. Preparation involves drinking 1 to 1.5 pints of water one hour before the scan and avoiding fizzy drinks, tea, and coffee.

Upper Abdomen £140.00
An upper abdominal scan involves examining organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen and kidneys. Preparation for the scan includes fasting for 4-6 hours beforehand, avoiding fatty foods for 48 hours prior, and only consuming clear fluids. Diabetic patients are often scheduled for early morning scans to accommodate their dietary needs.

Upper Abdomen and Pelvis £180.00
An upper abdomen and pelvis scan examines organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys, as well as the reproductive organs, including the uterus and ovaries. Preparation for the scan includes fasting for 4-6 hours beforehand, avoiding fatty foods for 48 hours prior, and drinking 1 to 1.5 pints of CLEAR FLUIDS ONLY. Diabetic patients are often scheduled for early morning scans to accommodate their dietary needs

Upper Abdomen and KUB £180.00
An upper abdominal scan and KUB involves examining the solid organs in the upper abdomen such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, ureters and bladder. Preparation for the scan includes fasting for 4-6 hours beforehand, avoiding fatty foods for 48 hours prior, and drinking 1 to 1.5 pints of CLEAR FLUIDS ONLY.Diabetic patients are often scheduled for early morning scans to accommodate their dietary needs

Abdominal Aorta £80.00
The abdominal aorta ultrasound is aimed at smokers and individuals with a family history of aortic aneurysms. To ensure optimal imaging results, fasting for at least four hours before the scan is recommended. This helps reduce gas in the digestive tract and improves visibility of the abdominal aorta. This non-invasive procedure is crucial for the early detection and management of potential aneurysms, as well as for the surveillance of any existing aneurysms, enabling proactive steps toward better health. Diabetic patients are often scheduled for early morning scans to accommodate their dietary needs

Fertility £200.00
The fertility scan involves a detailed examination of the reproductive organs. The scan typically evaluates the ovaries to track antral follicles, which indicates ovarian reserve, and monitors follicle development in preparation for egg retrieval. It also measures the thickness of the endometrium (the lining of the womb) to ensure it is suitable for embryo transfer. The procedure includes transabdominal scan (over the tummy) and, if needed, transvaginal scan (internal) for more accurate imaging. Overall, the fertility ultrasound scan provides essential information for guided fertility treatment. The scan can be combined with a variety of fertility blood tests at additional cost.

Prostate £80.00
A prostate ultrasound assesses the prostate gland's size and shape using a transabdominal approach. Preparation involves drinking 1 to 1.5 pints of water one hour before the scan and avoiding fizzy drinks, tea, and coffee.

KUB and Prostate £180.00
An ultrasound scan of the kidneys, ureters, and bladder assesses the urinary system for conditions such as stones, cysts. The prostate will also be examined during this scan. Preparation involves drinking 1 to 1.5 pints of water one hour before the scan and avoiding fizzy drinks, tea, and coffee.

Testes and Scrotum £118.00
A testes and scrotum ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure used to evaluate the health of the testes and surrounding structures. During the procedure, a gel is applied to the area, and a transducer is used to capture real-time images. This ultrasound helps identify the causes of lumps, swelling, and pain, providing valuable diagnostic information. No special preparation is needed, but the area being scanned should be easily accessible. The procedure is painless and typically takes about 15 to 30 minutes, making it a simple and effective method to also assess male reproductive health.

Musculoskeletal, Lumps & Bumps

Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound is in high demand due to sports injuries, repetitive strain injury, and conditions such as arthritis.

The Ultrasound Clinic offers this very effective service as a first line investigation for persistent and often distressing aches and pains.

We also offer high resolution scanning for lumps and bumps such as ganglions, cysts and lipomas. A referral from your GP is not required.
