NIPT – IONA £430

The IONA test is a non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) for pregnant women. It estimates the risk of a fetus having Down’s syndrome or other serious genetic diseases.

The blood test can be performed between weeks 11 to 18.

CA125, HE 4, ROMA £179

CA125 is a blood test that measures the amount of the protein CA125 (Cancer Antigen Protein)

Human Epididymal Protein 4 (HE4) is a new marker for ovarian carcinoma, which is over-expressed in patients with ovarian cancers. When combined with CA 125, HE4 significantly increases the level of sensitivity for detection of ovarian cancer. HE4 is consistently expressed in patients with ovarian cancer and demonstrates an increased sensitivity and specificity over that of CA 125 alone.

The risk of ovarian malignancy algorithm (ROMA) incorporates cancer antigen 125 (CA125), human epididymal protein 4 (HE4), and menopausal status to assign women that present with an adnexal mass into a high-risk or low-risk group for finding an ovarian malignancy.
